Turn Up My Natural High....

Friday was a memorable one. i decided to take my braids out.I have been planning to go natural for a while now and never had the balls to do it.lol. i invited my friend Amber to come over and help with the process since she's familiar with it (she has natural hair as well). Despite the disapproval from my mum and a couple of friends not to cut my hair, i was willing to do what would make me happy. Amber cut the relaxed ends of my hair and i ended up at the barber shop with jasmine on Monday to get it shaped up.
Having natural hair involves a lot of time, PATIENCE, and care. if you lack the self-esteem and self worth, having natural hair will not work for you.(my opinion)
i have had people stare at me, since i got the cut,maybe, they think i'm strange, or not, frankly i don't care.
My first appearance at work with my hair was met with approval from my friends.
A co-worker who was African threw jokes at me for looking African. i felt that was very ignorant of him since looking African was NEVER a bad thing or was having natural hair an African trait. i ignored the snooty comment after i told him my piece of mind.lol
it's a great feeling waking up and realizing that i don't have to do anything apart from patt my hair down.
Ever since i've been a kid,i've never loved long hair.
i'm excited about my new journey and i'm ready to grow my natural hair out and have a big ass afro like my friend Amber.lol

Lego Rules

so if you've realized, in my banner picture, i have on a lego brooch, as huge as my face.lol.
My good friend Cristeen who wrote a little introductory piece for me on selvedge jeans put me on this. She sent me a facebook message and said it would be good for my reader's to see this.

jay-z and Beyonce : Coachella 2010

Jay brought out Beyonce, his wife, for a surprise performance at Coachella 2010 this year. i will admit that she sounded way better than Mr.Hudson in my view, Mr. Hudson sounds a bit annoying on the original track and i would love to hear Beyonce on this one, a studio session and all, Plus it looked like they had so much fun together performing and Jay seemed so happy to have his wifey on his side and on stage.

W.O.W. 2!

i didn't think this would make it, once again, but i guess it did. let me address this issue where i got a pic of a girl on here and i said she had way too much going on in her outfit. i had all sorts of comments saying i was boring and i was plain.1. YES i am plain, boring? i doubt that because i made it on the same website that she did so i presume they must have liked my outfit and her's too. she had her whole squad hit me up on my blog just to try and start something,she even left me her number to call her.(i wonder why) but hey,i did this for you as well. I'M PLAIN BUT NEVER BORING,get on W.O.W. again and we can do this all year round,i'm down!

The Dream x Good Wood

The Dream was spotted rocking the Red Good Wood piece in his latest video 'love king'. It's a good look for Good Wood, and Dream's new single sounds like it's going to be very similar to his first, with maybe just a lil' more pop sound to it. His new single sounds like 'shawty is a 10' from the first one and i want to say that he is using the same dancer's or similar choreography for the video. Nevertheless, i'm excited about the new album,i'm a huge Dream fan.

Review:A.P.C.

it was a beautiful day in Nashville yesterday, i decided to roll up the A.P.C.'s(hipster) and give a lil' review on it.
The stitching on these are brutally awesome. i guess this is what selvedge jeans are all about because this happens to be my first one. I noticed they were very heavy as well,compared to my favorite forever 21 jeans.lol. i can never be an expert on jeans,but all i can say is, i think these are a great buy.
one thing i don't like about them are the pockets(front), they are really deep and getting my phone or lip gloss out takes forever.

Dee and Ricky....Not!

i purchased a red heart brooch (not dee and ricky) from ebay a couple of weeks ago and haven't had any idea how to piece it together. so i threw on my jeans shirt from Gap, and these glasses. It came out great. here are a few pics, all taken from my macbook camera and the Canon EOS!
